With all due respect to the person who responded to my comment. I am well versed in French Cuisine, dined many times in cafes, rest rants in France. I get the muse bouche, multi course dinners with tapas sized portions. I am also appalled by the platter size servings Americans receive in their version of Italian and French knock offs. I still think those items were more show than substance. I think the buildup was ridiculous, given all that was prepared. I am a former chef and caterer and have catered for 5-star chefs that have Michelin 5-star rest rants in St. Louis. You do not get that kind of gig unless you have a reputation for quality and creativity, quality. I have never offered tablespoon size portions as it comes off as pretentious. The 5 star restrants I dined in France and Italy did not need pretense as the food spoke for itself. I stand by my original post.

I remember when I was about 10, a truck would come around every year and sell yard furniture made from Cypress trees. It lasted for years. It wad made by your people. That was in 1969.

I don’t know why, but today was the first time I’ve been able to watch any Tony Bourdain content since he died. This made me smile and cry and inspired me to be a more interesting person.

Anthony Bourdain has done so much to introduce us to so many worldly cuisines. The pure joy and happiness that Anthony shows in this episode is amazing. I feel so much more for Anthony’s best friend Éric Ripert who found his body. You will be missed and touched so many lives. RIP Chef you were an amazing soul.

Anthony Bourdain definitely acknowledged the important roles that Mexicans play in food services. All too often behind the scenes, it may be a white guy in a toque and white jacket bowing and receiving the compliments of the dinners. But, it's frequently the Mexican employees from dishwashers all the way to up to sous-chefs who make it all possible. Behind a good chef is a dedicated kitchen too

AB was thee BEST at what he did. He was born to do this. Its so, so sad he wasn't strong enough to stay. He didnt seem like a person to do what he did over a woman!! I'll miss him forever. He passed a day before my Dad, so it was a very, very tough year. My brother from another Mother also passed 30 days before. The worst year of my life!! The missing is the worst part. ❤ 😢

I love this episode. Everything is made by real down to earth people that have a love for being creative and feeding others and wanting them to enjoy. I love how Tony tries a little bit of almost anything. My mother survived WWII in the occupied Netherlands and her family went with little or no food at times. She said when it's cooked with love, eat it. Smile and enjoy the food and whoever made it because someday you may have nothing

The people of Egypt, as in common in the Arab world, are very hospitable and friendly. Unfortunately as a tourist, especially an independent traveler, you will be constantly bombarded by hawkers and would be scammers. They can appear friendly, and will stay friendly if you buy something but if you don't, they can turn aggressive. Egypt has such wondrous treasures and should be on anyone's bucket list but if you are not able to cope with the constant pestering, then Rick Steve's videos are about as close to Egypt as you should get.

While the sand dunes themselves get most of the publicity, the real treasure here is the awesome Sangre De Cristo mountain range. Soaring 13- and 14- thousand foot peaks, wild streams and canyons, and majestic alpine lakes await those who visit these incredible mountains, which, in my opinion, are the most beautiful in Colorado. And that is quite a statement!

Back in the early 1970s while stationed at Ellsworth AFB I had the honor of being escorted by a Park Ranger to the top of Mount Rushmore and standing on Washington's head. The view was outstanding. On another trip we stopped a store in Keystone and talked to a number of men who had worked on the monument. Real down to home people who were proud of their accomplishment.
